not working with my video - need help

hi,

it's working fine with the example code, but when using the embed code from my video:
Sorry, no match for the embedded content.

i tested the code on a website and it's working fine. please help.

Sorry, no match for the embedded content.

Could be your video has a private status ?
Or a little difference is between the code above we do not see at the first look….

==> EDIT: Your code has no www. before the vimeo (http://vimeo... instead of http://www.vimeo ..)
Have a look at thge embedded code above and yours…

the important thing is to respect the example (using only part of vimeo's embed code).

All the site lke http://vimeo.com/ect must be http://www.vimeo so U have to add some more WWW

This must be

<param name="movie" value="http://**www.**vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=1894166&amp;server=**www.**vimeo.com

Same problem as over, even after correcting vimeo to www.vimeo.
But the solution was easier than I could think of.

code from vimeo
[[/html]]

solved it. With no correction of code. It works also for Jing and other services. Maybe this could be an information? I'm a new user and not sure of the hierarchy here. Maybe this was not a problem for others, but for me, it took a while to think of it.

How I made it work for me

I'm had the same situation as homeion and the same solution. But I did not use the Wikidot Embed command.

I put in the HTML parameters in my page and then within those HTML parameters I just entered the Embed code that Vimeo themselves supplied me with.

You may have to be a Plus member at Vimeo to get this code, but this is how I got it….

1. Go to Vimeo Settings on your account
2. Click on the Embedding Tab
3. Look for the 'get embed code' hyperlink on top of your video
4. Click on that and copy the code
5. Paste that code between your html and /html parameters on your wikidot page

That should fix it.

This snippet, like many others on this site, was originally written before we had [[html]]..[[/html]] tags which made life a lot easier.
