PICASA ID DEATH!!!
I am using Picasa and this is a nice tutorial. Most of the picture I have is now linked to my site.
Ostatnio bardzo mi doskwiera proces dodawania galerii.
Może dało by się zautomatyzować dodawanie takich mediów.
Dzięki temu przyciągneło by to ludzi mniej orientujących się.
Wystarczyło by dołożyć kreator dodawania galerii googla+, może facebooka i innych portali zdjęciowych, do video podobnie.
I had the exact same problem..
I have no problem embedding the slide show. However, it does not show up at the top of the page where I want it, but further down the page - leaving a bunch of blank space - see
http://bio305lab.wikidot.com/appendix:pour-gel
I am thinking there is a problem with alignment and the nav:side but I don't know how to fix it (I tried reducing the slideshow size but it did not help).

If you reduce the width of the iframe container created by the [[html]] block to 98% or less, the slideshow will move up the page.
I didn't fully test this on different browser window sizes and only looked at it with Firefox. At 99% the iframe was still pushed below the end of nav:side on my screen.
The other thing that will fix it (and is probably a better solution) is to set padding-right: 0; for the side-bar. The base css sets padding to 1em all around the side-bar. That padding plus the 100% width of the iframe generated by the [[html]] block is what's pushing your slideshow below the side-bar.
You should play with both of these to see how it impacts the look of your site for other content and decide which solution is best for you..

Thanks - that worked great.

Everything suggested above did not work for me until I tried putting the Picassa 'Embedded Slideshow' code within HTML Blocks and then it worked fine.
This Picassa 'Embedded Slideshow' code can be found as a button on your Picassa Online Photo Sharing site
INSTRUCTIONS WHERE TO FIND YOUR PICASSA SLIDESHOW EMBED CODE
Go to your Picassa Photo Album that you want to run as a slide show and click on it to enter the folder.
You should now see the images within the folder and on the right hand side of the panel you should see a symbol of a 'chain link' with the words "Links to this Album". Click on these words.
You should then see a link lower down under that that says 'Embedded Slideshow'. Click on these words
Another window should now open up which has the embed code that needs to be copied and placed (this has a Yellow coloured page screen behind it) within the HTML Blocks, as per my example below:
Here's my example…
[[html]]
<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="https://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="288" height="192" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=https%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2Fye.olde.networks%2Falbumid%2F5495632193765049153%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>
[[/html]]
Now save your wiki dot page and hopefully you'll see your slide show when your page refreshes.
Hope this solves your Picassa problem like it did for me.
Perhaps all the solutions above mine which are Pre December 2009 are now redundant and that's why I couldbnt get them to work?
I also read somewhere on wiki dot that the 'HTML Block' solution came out in March 2010 and that this superseded some of the code suggestions concerning how to embed images on wikidot
Cheers

PS: Make sure you set your Picassa folder to 'PUBLIC' as well

Yep, HTML tags now replace the old embed syntax, as it supports everything that embed did and much more.

Thank you SO much! This worked perfectly for my slideshows.
Take that, Google!
I still have that problem, too. I can see the slideshow on tools4noobs.com, but not @ wikidot.com. It`s said: "Sorry, no match for the embedded content."
here is my code:
<embed pluginspage = "http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" wmode="transparent" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2Ftingchanghsu%2Falbumid%2F5407521723910108577%3Fkind%3Dphoto%26alt%3Drss" type ="application/x-shockwave-flash" height ="350" width="420"></embed>
Does this code work for you? All I see is white.

How do I just put a single photo on a page?
Trying to embed my picasaweb images, but doesn't want to work. I also get "Sorry, no match for the embedded content." error. I've gotten around it but cutting and pasting the http:// portion of the <img src="http:…">, but I'm looking for more convenient solutions.
Would you give us the code for test?
