DAY 3 of Site-22: A Fictional Account
WARNING: The following blog recounts fictional events and is not based on real or true incidents.
Name: Dr. Mike
On this third day at Site-22, I find myself growing increasingly concerned as there has been no response from the squad I mentioned previously. I fear that something may have gone wrong, but I hold onto hope for their safe return. It's disheartening to see that most of the staff members here seem indifferent toward the task force. To them, the task force members are merely individuals following the orders of the O5 Council or people like Overwatch. However, my perspective differs due to my experience in the military. After dedicating 16 years of my life to serving and patrolling the grounds, I decided to resign from the military. As a result, I feel a deeper connection to the task force members, viewing them as friends and teammates. If someone were to stumble upon these writings, they might question how I transitioned from military service to become a doctor. The truth is, during high school, I focused on studying Pathology, Anatomy, and Biochemistry with aspirations of becoming a doctor. However, due to personal circumstances, I ended up joining the army. Despite the challenges I faced, my concern for the task force remains unwavering.
Amidst the prevailing uncertainty, I decided to delve into the other files at my disposal. Unfortunately, nothing significant caught my attention, aside from some banned projects authorized by the O5 Council. Most of these projects were relatively inconsequential. However, there was one particular banned project that piqued my curiosity. It seemed to involve the development of a peculiar robotic or mechanized suit. Before I could delve deeper into the matter, SCEPTER-65 informed me that his squad has been deployed to a site under the control of the Chaos Insurgency (CI), which is also afflicted by an infection. I wish him the best of luck on his mission.
Dr. Mike: Perhaps a short nap is in order, providing some respite amidst the chaos unfolding around me.
