DAY 6 of Site-22: A Fictional Account
WARNING: The following blog recounts fictional events and is not based on real or true incidents.
Name: Dr. Mike
It's day 6 of my time at Site-22, and the band projects continue to trouble me. Today, SEPTER-65's squad approached me after successfully securing SCP-096. They reported that they found only one body, which resembled the one we encountered during the Chaos Insurgency's breach. They handed me some files they discovered at the enemy's base.
As I examined the files, I stumbled upon another section of the band project concept. Surprisingly, this particular portion did not originate from any SCP Site or authorized source. It was obtained from the enemy's base itself. These files are marked as level-4, indicating their significance and restricted access, typically limited to personnel with level-4 clearance or members of the O5 Council.
Without delay, I approached Overwatch to inform him about the band project falling into enemy hands. His reaction was unexpected, as he appeared worried, almost as if someone had uncovered his own misdeeds, but without knowing it was him. Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, letting my imagination run wild.
Overwatch assured me that he would report the situation to the O5 Council. Meanwhile, I carried on with my duties, conducting tests on various SCPs. During my interactions, SCP-049 noticed something amiss and inquired about my well-being. I dismissed his concerns, assuring him that there was nothing for him to worry about.
Later, when I visited SCP-682, the situation remained similar to the previous day, with the exception that it exhibited increased aggression towards me. Managing its volatile behavior has become an ever more challenging task.
While in the cafeteria, SEPTER-65 approached me, requesting my supervision. Given my past military experience and familiarity with leading squads, I agreed to oversee his activities. I couldn't help but question why he chose me over Overwatch for this task. His response only added to my confusion, leaving me with more unanswered questions.
Dr. Mike: I am utterly perplexed now. What on earth is happening? Could it be that I'm merely experiencing hallucinations? Perhaps I indulged in too much coffee tonight, impairing my judgment and distorting my perception of reality.
End of Day 6.
